At the last count, our team of animal lovers had a combination of 16 dogs, 17 cats, 2 horses, a few sheep, goats and 5 chickens between us! We feel we fully understand not only how wonderfully rewarding owning a pet can be, but also some of the challenges pet owners can face.
Our very experienced Reception Team is lead by Kate Lee-Smith, who joined us in 2002.
Kate has four cats called Marmalade, Gisbourne, Grissom and Charlie Rascal.
Marian Merson joined us in September 2012 having spent most of her career working within the NHS
Marian is a keen keep fit fanatic and enjoys walking her two dogs.
Annie Sterry, joined us in 2014 and is married with 3 children.
Annie has two cats called Leo and Fudge, a German Shepherd called Benji and a Golden Retriever puppy called Zeke.

John Sherry graduated in 1979 and joined us in February 2012 having worked in Exeter & East Devon for over 20 years. John is married with three children.
John is another member of the Border Terrier fan club at the Surgery and has two called Nancy and Fraser, he also enjoys a spot of Fly Fishing in his spare time.
Rosanne Glasper joined us in February 2013 having previously worked for the PDSA in Plymouth and then Teignview Vets in Torbay.
Rosanne lives with her husband, baby son Oliver and their two Cocker Spaniels Megan and Bella.
Becky Whitell joined us in June 2015, she lives with her partner John and they have two dogs called Roo and Poppy. Becky has lots of experience in both large and small animal practice. In 2013 she ran the London Marathon for Breakthrough Breast Cancer and the University of Cambridge Veterinary School Trust.
Our Veterinary Nurses are all fully qualified and pride themselves on ensuring that all pets that visit the Surgery receive the best care and attention.
Vicky Jeffrey joined the Practice in 1997 as a trainee and became our Head Nurse. Vicky now works for Corner House part-time following the birth of her two children.
Sophie Saunders qualified as a veterinary nurse in January 2013. She has worked at a large vet hospital in Plymouth & a small practice in Tiverton before coming to Corner House.
Sophie has two terriers called Lenny and Luna who keep her busy. In her spare time Sophie likes to go for long walks with her two dogs.
Our manager and veterinary nurse in the Budleigh Salterton branch is Norma Conway.
Norma joined us in 2006 after qualifying as a Veterinary Nurse in 1979.
Norma has a keen interest in animal behaviour with her main case being her completely mad Border Collie called Nico.
